The 2024 Samoa $50 1/2 oz Gold Light of Liberty coin is a remarkable blend of artistry and craftsmanship, making it a must-have for collectors. As the second release in the prestigious "Light of Liberty" trilogy, this coin features a stunning design by Natanya Van Niekerk, the former Acting General Manager of The South African Mint. Lady Liberty strides boldly forward, holding a radiant torch, while South Africa’s iconic Big Five animals stand majestically behind her. The obverse, designed by former U.S. Mint Chief Engraver John Mercanti, showcases a dynamic Flying Eagle alongside the Samoa Coat of Arms, adding to the coin's symbolic depth.

Struck in half an ounce of 99.9% pure gold, the coin displays intricate Ultra High Relief detail that makes the designs appear as if they are leaping from the surface. This ultra-fine level of detail, combined with an Enhanced Reverse Proof finish, brings out stunning contrasts between the mirrored and frosted elements, elevating the coin’s aesthetic appeal.

This legal-tender coin, with a face value of $50 in Samoa, not only boasts artistic and numismatic excellence but also stands out due to its rarity. With a low limited mintage of just 399 pieces, this coin is a highly sought-after collectible, offering both exclusivity and a unique tribute to liberty and nature.
