Certified NGC in a Proof 70 Ultra Cameo Grade
The Mint will often melt down past year issues that they have over printed in their original year of production. In 2020 when they discovered a batch of 2017 proof silver eagles, they opted to auction them off instead this time. These rare coins, acquired years after being minted, are graded in an NGC Proof 70 and signed by the designer himself, John Mercanti.
