A new era has arrived for modern coin grading! NGC is set to be the first official grading service to offer the new 10-point grading scale that will be starting in 2023. The new grading scale, NGCX, will make it easier for collectors to expand their interest. It will also make it easier for new collectors to understand the grading and numerical values more clearly. NGC used the Sheldon Scale where that system grades up to a value of 70. The NGCX scale is a more traditional 10-point grading scale.
