1945-D Mercury Dime - PCGS MS67+ FB CAC

The 1945-D Mercury Dime stands as one of the finest representatives of America’s beloved “Winged Liberty” series, struck during the final year of World War II. With a mintage of over 40 million coins, most examples entered circulation, leaving only a select few preserved in pristine condition. This coin, graded MS67+ Full Bands (FB) by PCGS and approved by CAC, is among the absolute best of its kind.

At this elite grade level, only 77 coins have been certified by PCGS, making it a true condition rarity. Even more impressively, it’s estimated that three or fewer pieces carry the prestigious CAC sticker, verifying its premium quality within the grade. Collectors recognize CAC approval as a mark of eye appeal and originality that sets these coins apart.

The Mercury Dime, designed by Adolph A. Weinman, is celebrated for its timeless beauty. Liberty’s portrait, wearing a winged cap symbolizing freedom of thought, remains one of the most iconic images in U.S. coinage. On the reverse, the fasces and olive branch symbolize strength and peace—an especially fitting motif as the nation celebrated victory in 1945.

With blazing luster, crisp detail, and the coveted Full Bands designation, this coin is a true prize for advanced Mercury Dime specialists and Registry Set competitors. Its combination of rarity, quality, and CAC approval ensures it will stand out in any high-end collection.
