The 1937 Antietam Half Dollar was issued to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Antietam. Though 50,000 were stuck, 32,000 were later melted due to it being a poor seller at the time. The obverse featured a profile of Generals McClellan and Lee. The reverse featured The Burnside Bridge. Gorgeous bright complexion commemorative half dollars are rare - ours will always be hand selected for quality, collectability and eye appeal. You'll love your coin!
