1881-CC Morgan Silver Dollar Carson City - PCGS MS64 OGH CAC

Own a true Western mint treasure with this 1881-CC Morgan Silver Dollar – PCGS MS64, Old Green Holder (OGH) with CAC Approval. Struck at the legendary Carson City Mint, this issue is prized by collectors for its low mintage and exceptional eye appeal. With only 296,000 coins struck, the 1881-CC stands among the most desirable Morgans in the series.

This example is graded MS64 by PCGS and preserved in the highly collectible Old Green Holder, making it even more sought after by registry and Morgan specialists. The coin displays bright luster, sharp details, and strong overall surfaces typical of the CC Mint’s best work. With a PCGS population of just 9,146, MS64 examples remain scarce—and high-end certified examples even more so.

Adding to its rarity, this coin carries a CAC sticker, verifying its quality within the grade and placing it among the top tier of MS64s. CAC approval for this date is extremely limited, with an estimated population of 10 or fewer. The combination of CAC + OGH dramatically increases demand, especially since estimated OGH CAC pieces are 5 or fewer known today.

For collectors of Morgan Dollars, western mint issues, or conditionally rare certified pieces, this 1881-CC offers outstanding historical value and significant scarcity. It stands as a premium addition to any advanced U.S. silver dollar collection.
