A rare Victorian Maundy set from 1861, comprising four silver coins in denominations of 1d, 2d, 3d, and 4d. These ceremonial pieces were traditionally distributed by the monarch during Maundy Thursday services as alms to the poor. This particular set represents an important period in British numismatic history, with each coin bearing the young profile of Queen Victoria. Maundy sets are highly sought by collectors for their historical significance, limited mintage, and exceptional craftsmanship. A distinguished addition to any serious coin collection.
