A distinguished 1855 penny featuring the PT (Pistrucci/Taylor) engraver marks, presented in Good Very Fine condition. This mid-Victorian specimen demonstrates excellent preservation with sharp definition across both sides. Victoria's profile on the obverse remains crisp and well-struck, whilst the reverse Britannia maintains impressive detail in the seated figure, trident, and shield. Light wear is restricted to the highest relief areas, with the fields retaining considerable sharpness and original character. The coin exhibits an attractive natural patina developed over 170 years. A notable acquisition for collectors pursuing engraver varieties and quality examples from the 1850s period.
