A scarce example of this historic silver threepence, struck during the reign of King James II. Maundy coins were specially minted for the annual Royal Maundy ceremony, traditionally distributed to the poor on Maundy Thursday. This 1686 piece displays excellent detail with light wear consistent with Very Fine condition. A desirable addition to any collection of English silver or Maundy coinage.
